NIMET Fellows Host UF’s First NanoDay

October 13, 2018 Written by Abbas Furniturewalla

NanoDay, which takes place every year on October 9th (10^-9) is a chance to educate the community about the latest advances in nanotechnology. Several NIMET fellows teamed together to host the University of Florida’s first ever Nano Day. The event was a big success.

There was a 100 billion nano-meter race, an entrepreneurship panel with local Gainesville entrepreneurs in micro/nanotechnology, a poster session, trivia, and free t-shirts. It was great to celebrate the diverse research that takes place at the University of Florida and in the local Gainesville community.

We hope to see this fun and educative event take place every year!
